Throttle limited to PAS level on Ariel Rider Rideal

Throttle is always limited by PAS level, regardless of “Throttle limited by PAS level” set to “No.” I’ve seen similar bugs marked as resolved, however I’m on a recent firmware version (2.5.61) and this issue is present.

It isn’t the speed that’s limited, it’s the motor current. Pedal assistance behavior is just about perfect with this EggRider; the motor current is appropriately limited at each PAS level according to my “Power Levels” settings, however the throttle is also limited to those same power levels. The throttle isn’t overriding the power levels it as it should (and as it does with the original display that comes with the Rideal.)

Hi Mike, this issue could be also related to a few settings. Please share screenshots with your setting pages. It might be something related to the running strategy. Also, sometimes, it helps to rewrite setting parameters to the controllers, just to make sure there aren't any inconsistencies. More info on the Lishui settings in the EggRider user manual:

One other interesting observation is that I have my current limit set at 17A however my display indicates that the motor is drawing over 20A on my highest PAS level.

These are the power settings I've been using. I experimented with changing them a bit but it doesn't affect the issue I'm still experiencing where the throttle is limited to the selected PAS level.

I experimented with different running strategies and they do not change the behavior of the issue I'm reporting (throttle limited to PAS level)

One thing to note is that per the attached screenshot, the options available don't match the documentation that you linked above. The documentation indicates "Speed limitation, Current limitation, and RadPower Mode" while the available options show "Normal" instead of "Speed limitation." Are they the same?

I tested the "Current Simulation" however per the documentation, "In this mode throttle will be limited by pass level even if the option is set to No in the settings." This is the behavior I'm trying to avoid.

I think a lot of people would be happy if you fixed with the next updated update following thing:

After factory setting, we get unlimited speed, 70km/h. In Europe is not legal. If police hold me and take by bike for checking, I get trouble. Because after factory setting I get instead legal speed 25km/h just 70km/h and never get my bike back. It’s big problem in EU.

Now I get trouble with “M” button, it’s just stuck. Every time as I will power up my bike, I get unasked reset default and 70km/h. It’s not correct, because from my legal bike I get unlegal bike… I hope you understand what I mean :)

Some bug more… or maybe not, when I reset trip with my smartphone and power off Eggrider and power on again my trip still not reseted.
