[Bafang] Speed limit does not work (default settings)

Display Firmware v2.6.49

Motor: Bafang BBSHD (got from bafangusadirect.com)

With default settings (after reset with mode+power button)

By default, the speed limit is 25km/hr. I can easily go 50km/hr with the throttle and it does not ever stop the motor from engaging.

Like I said, everything is set to default settings, so I know it’s not a combination of things I’ve selected.

In order to make your bike faster please change the speed limit in display settings - ROAD/OFF ROAD mode from 25 km/h to a higher value(50 for example). Also in bafang basic settings be sure that all assist levels have “limited speed%” set to 100.

Hi Adrian, I think you misunderstood the issue. I need to LIMIT the speed to 25km/hr. Even with the default settings, my bike is going way too fast (50km/hr + ). It is not legal to ride this fast, so I need to limit it, and for some reason, the eggrider is allowing me to go fast even with the default settings (I also set both road and offroad limit to 10km/hr and that didn’t work either)

The settings have not been changed. They are the default settings, straight out of the box.
Would it be of any benefit to take screenshots of these default settings?

Hi, I have exactly the same issue with my new BBSHD. Speed limit for onroad and offroad did not change anything. My motor goes up to 50kmh onroad and can go up to 80kmh when the weel is not touching the ground.

What I did:

• Factory reset the Eggrider
• Update the eggrider to the latest firmware (2.6.49)
• Factory reset the controller
• Try with another controller

Hi I have an update.
My issue is very stranged : After testing every PAS assits level, the speedlimit of my eggrider works but only on throttle and only if my PAS Assit level is 1 or 2. At a PAS assit of 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 the motor is not capped anymore, or if I pedal at any PAS assit level.

I tested with a standard bafang screen. I have the same issue.
