Stuck on Firmware update screen.

I just purchased an EggRider v2 and installed it on my new bafang hub motor kit.
The unit connected and i set Bafang Switch Mode to ‘Live data and settings, power cycled the display, and tried to change bafang basic setting. Display was able to read settings but attempting to write got 'Error 46'.
Per a suggestion in another post, I attempted a Firmware v2.5.61 update but that failed and display is now stuck on the 'firmware update’. Resetting power still brings the update firmware screen back instantly when powered on. It does not appear the + button is stuck. Reset the display to defaults by pressing M + Power also fails.

In order to get rid of the update screen from your EggRider you need to finish and update to 100%. You can find more information about how to update your EggRider in our manual:

the display wont connect to my phone anymore so i cannot do a firmware update.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing Bluetooth connection issues.

PS: you might be able to connect if you do the following:

Open EggRider App and go to App settings page and set

Startup connection -> Manually

Background re-connection -> No

Close the app from memory.

Turn OFF Bluetooth of your phone and GPS for 30 seconds

Keep the phone close to the display and try to connect

This can happen for 2 reasons which can be identified as follows:

1. UP button stuck - if you did successfully an update but display starts still in update and starts only after pressing power for 5 seconds

2. Bluetooth connection issue - if the update failed during the procedure and you fails when you retry the procedure. In this case please fill the form: https://forms.gle/ZGi8zehXg7RRftg18

Please keep in mind that once the update procedure starts the only way to get back to normal running is by successfully finishing the update.
