usage with iOS *and* android app, lock behaviour, no communication

Issue #269 resolved
Thomas Waldmann created an issue

Description

There might be a bug or issue if one tries to have 2 smartphones configured for 1 eggrider display.

I first set up my iPhone and all seemed to work ok.

Then (to have a backup in case the iphone is unavailable) I also configured my android phone and then weird things happened on the android app:

  • app dashboard display shows all-zero values (incl. battery voltage), disconnect and connect does not help.
  • app search display shows the eggrider, but does not display the firmware version
  • hw up/down keys were locked (no way to change PAS level)
  • hw display showed a “lock” symbol

I tried to fix it with no success by:

  • switching eggrider hw off and on again (with its own button and also cutting power afterwards by switching off the battery via the battery button)
  • making sure that only 1 smartphone has bluetooth enabled at a time

Steps to reproduce

Not sure how exactly to reproduce, but guess something like:

  • try to configure 1 iOS and 1 android device with the same eggrider hw
  • “immobilizer” = connect with app to unlock (expected is that this works with both smartphones)
  • “road restrict“ = yes
  • “startup with road” = yes

Hi, I think something else happen there. We test with apps v2.7 connecting to same device with both Android and iOS and the functionality seems to work as expected. If you can find a precise way to reproduce please let us know.
