It is not possible to configure two modes. If i write a road profile to the motor it overwrites the offroad profile an vice versa.

This is how it works. You don't have to press READ unless you want to know what it is on the controller.

The behaviour should be:

For the first time you setup you can read on both profiles so you have as starting point the configurations of your motor.

Modify and write for each mode, the settings will be saved in memory.

When you press the Road/OffRoad mode in the dashboard page then the relative settings will be written on your controller.

The behaviour is not as described. The change between road/offroad does not have any effect. the motor alwas uses the parameters that were written last. if i use "write road" it uses these parameters, if i use "write offroad" it uses the parameters set in offroad. The mode switch and the switch in the app does not have any other effect than changing the displayed mode.

In Display settings page, select "Live data and settings" for Bafang switching mode, press Write then Read to check it save. After that, try again to switch mode from the Dashboard.

I tried again. Obviously the app did not write the settings on the display. Now the switch between the modes works when using the app, but not when using the mode switch on the eggrider.

That is the intended behaviour for now.

Before making it capable to switch from the display we want to trial by switching from the app.

In situations of errors, it will be easier to report.

This is fixed in apps >= v2.1.6 and firmware >= 2.1.05

So far so good. I upgraded to firmware 2.1.05. The behavior is now like that: -the switch in the app changes speed limit, throttle and modes. -the mode switch only changes speed limit.

I think it is important to have the opportunity to switch into the legal mode using the mode switch. Otherwise you do not have any chance to use the bike legally if you have no smartphone in your hands. In my opinion it wolud be best when eggrider always comes up in road mode, and the only way to go offroad is using the app. So no one can use it in illegal mode by accident.
