Unable to change road / off-road setting from app I get an error!

Unable to change road / off-road from app I get an error!

When in the app, the button to change from road / off road gives error “switching mode error” I can change mode on the eggrider and the app updates to correct mode. I am also unable to change road/off-road in any of the 3 setting pages, Basic, pedal, throttle. I have the setting "live data and settings" so should be able to make the changes. I get a status saying “switching to road/off-road, but doesn’t switch. So I’m unable to make any changes for each of the 2 modes. I can change assist levels from the app and on the eggrider without issue, everything else looks to ok. I now have to scroll through the app main screen to see all information with this new version.

Running this on a Bafang mid-drive BBS01B 250w Android app is running on android 7.0

update 29/12 I have found that I can read from the controller on on Bafang basic settings page but when doing a write get an error code 46. the peddle and throttle pages I can reed and write ok. this is the same if I have settings for only live data or live data and settings.

I have reset the EggRider and setup from scratch following the WiKi with same results.

Update 09/01/19 I have reset the egg and setup from scratch. I have it connected to a Bafang BBs01b and have live data and settings selected.

When in the app if I change from road to off road I get switch mode error as pic.

When in Bafang basic tab in app I can read from controller, but get error 46 when I write dat as second pic.

Bafang pedal & Bafang throttle I can read and write ok.

When in each of the 3 x setting pages Basic, pedal & throttle I cant change between road and offroad hitting the button does not change the mode.

I hope this makes sense?

What was the reason in the end? How did you solve this issue? I have the same problem now (for 2x eggriders). Just wasnt able to switch in app anymore and on top I cannot set parameter for offroad mode because its not possible to change to offroad at basic pedal, etc.

this error is weird. I got this problem and cannot say why its gone now or better this morning it was gone and hope it comes not back.

First Problem I saw If I change to “live data and settings” I got problem to switch beetwen road and off road at my android eggrider app. and whats crazy I got same problem at eggrider v2 too to switch between both modes. if I switch back to “only live data” I can switch between modes on eggrider and android app withot any issue.

Then next Problem I wanna change between bafang basic settings, paddle and throttle not posssible always said to me Basic write error -(46). I´m not sure if only in basic settings or in other like paddel settings and throttle settings too. Then upgrade too 2.5.59_stable same issue.

then I drowngrade to 2.4.11_beta and I can change Bafang Basic settings but for Road mode and off road it changed at same time. Maybe I forgot to change to live data and settings.
then upgrade back to 2.5.59_stable and try to change basic settings but not possible I got error 46 again. then back to 2.4.11_beta and change some basic settings and it works. go back to 2.5.59_stable and try but no chance to change anything in bafang basic settings error 46 again.

I don´t know how much I downgrade and upgrade yesterday but not very often. This Morning I try to change something in bafang peddale settings and it works. I was amazed so I tried to change something bafang basic settings and it works. I dont know why this morning the error 46 is gone but maybe for all who got problems like me with this error 46 try to downgrade to 2.4.11_beta. change whatever in basics settings then go back to 2.5.59 try to change. if not work downgrade to 2.4.11 again and change something in basics settings and go back to 2.5.59. maybe once it works and maybe my experience helps you too and sorry for my english

I dont know how I can help you anymore because after a few times downgrade and upgrade the firmwares I have no issuses anymore and eggrider is working fine now.

I still contact you about your link. I want to help you as best I can, because your product is great.
