Feature request - real time clock without phone connection

the rtc is only availabile with phone connection

i dont ride with my phone connected so is it possible to view the clock without connetion?

Hi Dan. Unfortunately not. The display does not have an internal battery, so time real time clock be kept when is not powered. We were evaluating an android service that connects in background and broadcasts the time over Bluetooth, but that is getting more and more difficult with the tool-chain we're using.

Hi Dan, if you connect with the app, it sends the time to the display which shows it until shutdown. So at the moment if you want to see the time you can quickly connect with the app and then close the app... As Emil stated keeping time after shutdown it is not physically possible with the current hardware.
