I can not configure my bafang engine

Hello,

When I want to read my bafang engine, I get an error message "BafangBasicRead timeout 02.0 s"

Having the same issue… BBSHD 1000w, 52v 27.9ah battery. Whether I hit read, initialize, write. It just keeps giving red bar at bottom with timeout error.

Hi, did you guys managed to make it work?

If not I would recommend resetting the display to default: When the display is off, press Mode (M) + Power until display turns on. (You should see Load default settings)

Update the display to the latest firmware: v2.4.08

I have the same issue connecting to a RadPowerBikes RadMini.

Display 2.4.85

Firmware 2.4.11 beta

The display screen shows an error, 0xFF. Other screens show read/write errors.

POSSIBLE RESOLUTION:

I had the same error and behavior. I tried updating the Eggrider firmware to no avail. I would flash the firmware, the Eggrider would read correctly all of the settings but as soon as I would Write the settings from any of the 4 pages, it would trigger the BafangBasicRead timeout 02.0 s red bar error on the phone. The Eggrider display would display - - kmh with the error “E FF”. Turning it off and on, with the battery on and off, would not resolve the issue. I would have to flash the firmware again. I contacted my BBSHD reseller who told be that using a firmware with a .HEX file would prevent writing to the controller. He sent me a .BIN file and everything is now ok.

This error bugged me for weeks. I hope this helps!

This is the same issue I am having, I’ve tried all the suggestions on this thread apart from the last suggestion by Djeef Lab because I have no idea how to write a .BIN file to the controller? I’ve tried via USB and it shows as COM3 but will not read/write. Any other suggestions? The motor doesn’t do anything now even when I connect original display, just displays an error.
