Bafang Mode Switch error

I have started using the EggRider and I ran into an issue. When I go to Bafang basic settings, I can change settings for Road mode, but when I try to switch to Offroad, I get this error:

Bafang Mode Switch

Press “initialize” button to enable Bafang switch.

Missing profiles:

BafangRoadThrottle

BafangOffRoadThrottle

When I try to initialize, it says it has read the controller succesfully, but the button to swap from road to offroad still gives the same error.

I can change the EggRider settings ok from the app and also the offroad profile will just work when I switch to it from the console or the app. It does give me lots of extra power in comparison to the Road profile.

Hardware and software:

• BBS02B 750W
• App version: v2.3.07
• Firmware: v2.4.01
• Android 8

Hi, can you please press write after initialize?

This should stop the warning and let you switch between modes.

The road button (to switch to off road) at the top right is greyed out now.

Solved! A fellow EggRider pointed out To change to “Live data and settings” in the EggRider settings menu. That did the trick
