Using XXXSRWLockShared does DWS incompatible with XP/W2K3:

dwstest.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point ReleaseSRWLockShared could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll.

Support of XP/W2K3 was dropped, as they are no longer supported by Microsoft and unsuitable for production or testing.

You can revert that particular change in your local branch, but you should consider upgrading from XP/Win2K3 ASAP as those OSes are no longer secure.
