have make newthorn create a functioning thorn

Currently the newthorn make target does not create a functioning thorn. It would be good if it produced a skeleton thorn that compiled.

It would be nice if this command could be made to work in a Jupyter environment, i.e. non-interactive.

Ideally we would like to learn how to make jupyter's "!" command handle input otherwise we have to update every single instance of code requesting input incl. eg git and svn.
