no longer available?

Issue #364 closed

Did Carpet (and McLachlan) move to for good? The old url seems to be non functional right now (Name or service not known).

If so we will have to update (in trunk) and maybe also parts of the website.

If we change the URL, we should change it for all branches of the thornlist, and notify the users. I would prefer to have it functional again - for some time at least, and to change trunk now and the past releases at a point when no current release is affected.

In this case someone (Erik?) will have to renew the registration with and point it to's IP address. seems to be currently available.

I can't "add" <> because the host name already "exists" (whatever this means).

On another node, we used temporarily while moving between servers to test the setup of the new server. The current, canonical address is <>.

ahem (taking cover). Erik: I think I went halfway through's registration procedure before my last post (entered in their top-page entry box and got to the second screen). Maybe that is blocking you? I removed that url from my shopping cart and now a new session is able to register carpetcode again (I could not before). Can you try again, please (I assume that you would like to be the owner of the URL). Unless we want to change all files and let the users know (I only realised when I wanted to commit the change correcting the superfuous OMP PARALLEL statements in CarpetLib).
