Did you test this patch without setting CACTUS_CONFIGS_DIR?

I just tested it this morning. It works fine without setting CACTUS_CONFIGS_DIR.

Please apply, with two changes: 1. Remove the print statements 2. Set the $dir variable in consecutive lines (without having the $config line in between)
