Same CPU and compatible VDP but different sound chips. The Master System VDP is also more advanced (more sprites, more features, etc).

I don't think using different emulators for different systems is a big issue, maybe for people that keep switching between games without really playing them or just use emulators to admire their ROM collection but I couldn't care less ;-)

I think that Blue msx can emulate SMS the wii port don't, but it's interesting to read about it. I don't complain about it, some times is good to have various emulators to compare and there are all in one emulator MAME/MESS, i read that you helped to improved the YM2612 on MAME/MESS, don't worry I don't speak about megaplay/megatech ;X About collections I prefer to admire a harware one ;) but it's good to have all roms and remember the prices that i have to pay for a game when I was chaild or the methots to copy them, backup msx roms to a tape pe.....
