Game Gear roms not loading with r658

I am not able to load Game Gear roms with r658. Gets a blank screen then crashes. I have the roms zipped. They work with no problem with your latest official release.

Make sure console type is set to AUTO or GG in System settings. Also try to delete the configuration file to restore default settings. If you have been trying recent non-official builds, it's possible your config file is stuck to an intermediate version and is causing issues (I only update config file version string, which is used to detect config file changes and reset settings to default, between official releases).

Please remember unofficially compiled builds are unsupported and that such basic failure is obviously going to be verified before official release, so basically, if something does not work for you when you use intermediate revisions, it should not be my concern.

Finally, if it's crashing, always provide a capture of the exception screen if there is one.

I did what you said. If I have Console Region set to auto....blank screen, noithing loads. If I choose GG for console, roms load but graphics are garbled

I see no reasons why game gear would not be working like it does for me, beside you are using a modified dol (did you compile the source yourself ?), or corrupted/invalid GG ROM files (do other systems work fine ?). Try to upload some picture of what you are doing , including the way you are loading the games, ROM filename, picture of "garbled" screen, exception screen if any, etc...

Also upload the config file you are using.
