I would like to see improved character support. As it is now, if you have a ROM file with a file name for example that uses characters other than standard English characters, such as letters with accents (á, ë, ã, etc) or Japanese characters, the characters will get corrupted/replaced with other characters. Improving this, so that Genesis Plus GX can display for example Ragnacënty.bin properly, would be pretty sweet.

Not going to happen for 1 or 2 single displayed strings that most people ignore anyway i am using the internal ascii font hardcoded in wii/gamecube eprom: yes it is more limited and maybe less fancy than other truetype fonts but it saves a lot of memory.
