Original [issue 268](https://code.google.com/p/genplus-gx/issues/detail?id=268) created by punkydudester on 2012-08-05T18:45:17.000Z:

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Having the apps file & root file on USB. 2.Have an SD card in the Wii & run Genesis Plus GX 1.7 with Mega CD support. 3.If SD card is in it ignores the file on the root of the Hard Drive & re-creates folders on the root of the SD card. It is obviously searching for the root folder but doesn't seam to search for the one on the hard unless the SD card is out.

What is the expected output?

It is obviously searching for the root folder but doesn't seam to search for the one on the hard unless the SD card is out. With the SD card in it re-creates them every time saying it is loading default settings, ignoring the already setup settings on the HDD.

What do you see instead?

I pull the SD card out every time. If I forget to I must erase the /genplus folder from the root of the SD card.

What version of the emulator are you using (official, SVN revision,...)? 1.7

Please provide any additional information below (Emulator settings, Console setting,...) No specific settings.

Yes, it is normal, SD is default FAT device for libfat if both usb and sd are detected. The device were the app was loaded from is not taken in account by design choice.

What is the problem with having your config,saves,etc... on sd since you plan to leave a sd inserted ? Once they have been created, directories won't be recreated unless you delete it and it's perfectly fine to have roms on hdd and setup files on sd.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that for sure. I am not sure then whether about the screen shots. Would they save & load on SD or HDD as priority? What would be best?

Screenshots are ressources files as well, they will save and load from the default device.
