Support for compressed audio files (such as .mp3)
Issue #292

First of all thank you very much for this emulator, it is truly amazing and I cannot thank you enough for it.
Is it technically possible to support compressed audio files for the Mega CD, or are you planning on supporting these in the future?

Nope, i think mp3 decoding libraries use a license incompatible with genesis plus non commercial license.
As for supporting other compressed format, i don't see the need right know, bin/cue or iso/wav are perfectly fine and will always be more accurate and faster when it comes to audio track emulation.
The only advantage of compressed audio files is storage space but i don' t think it's really an issue anymore with the current size of external HDD. It might be for those who absolutely want to have all existing CD games stored " just in case" but even if you really plan to play the 200-250 different games i think there are, they can fit on a 120GB drive.
