TV Video Error?

Im using a dynex 32 inch tv, yet the emulator runs perfectly fine but when i load a game my tv says unsupported mode but when i pause the game appears to run perfectly fine? does it matter if im using a hauppage hd pvr gaming edition cable with the 5 plugs (HD apperelty)

    by default, the emulator uses non-interlaced original video mode if no special video cable is found
    it seems your tv does not handle this video mode (which is really a loss for you)
    turn it to interlaced or progressive in emulator video settings

    as usual, this is clearly explained in the FAQ here and the user manual (README) so go read them if you haven't yet
