    Default settings should be fine.

Audio mixing/filtering varied a lot upon console models so it can be adjusted to your preference, check the user manual for further details. Default is unfiltered because it sounds better and clearer but some might remember of more muffled audio with more bass and should enable low-pass filter.

If you want the video output to look exactly like original hardware, you should use a CRT TV that supports original non-interlaced video mode. Without this, it won't be identical to what you remember. Zgain, check the user manual for detailled explanation of each settings.

If you have questions, better post on the FAQ page rather than creating an issue.
