Sonic Spinball freezing on newest revision

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start game
2. Launch into the air from the flipper
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Freezes shortly after that

What version of the emulator are you using (official, SVN revision,...)?
Latest builds.

Please provide any additional information below (Emulator settings, Console
setting,...)
Default settings, Wii 4.3u HBC 1.1.0

    Indeed, that's strange though as it works fine in my own test build on windows (as well as in retroarch for win32).

    Do you have any idea about which revision it started freezing like this ?

    Fixed in r940.

    For the record, this could have potentially affected other games: it was caused by an unexpected timing case which could cause VDP FIFO emulation to update the CPU cycle counter to a very big value when two consecutive writes are made to VDP DATA port in the same instruction.
