Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy Hack Rom

This game is reported to work with version 1.7.4, now it don't work on 1.7.5 (teste by me but also other people i ask ellme the same... the game crash with the blue screen of dead of MK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrKhbS75yb4 ). The romhack is 8mb in size so is not a normal genesis game. The emulator dont crash, the game runs for a while but it crash (the game not the emulator) after some time.

This is a game bug, not an emulator bug as this blue screen is part of the game and normally used for debugging it by game devs. It tells you the game is apparently trying to execute invalid code which leaded to "illegal instruction" 68000 exception. This will happen on real hardware as well and the emulator is designed to emulate this accurately.

You can try to disable "68k address error" and "System Lockup" in emulator System settings to make the emulation more permissive but really, the correct solution would actually to fix the hack and avoid doing things not working on real hardware.

As for this hack not working on 1.7.5, I think it was more related to it loading with a black screen, which was fixed in this commit https://bitbucket.org/eke/genesis-plus-gx/commits/f0fede5cf2c42536400a64ccc4e4d33ba704f6b8

This game actually Don't work on real hardware, works ok on PC emulators that supports big romfiles... but in genesis plus on my Wii it fails, must be an error on the rom hack.... will test a little more then

I am pretty sure the crash described here happens in PC emulator (Gens I suppose) as well as illegal instruction exception is something generally well emulated and that video itself likely does not come from this emulator running on Wii.

Genesis Plus GX supports 10 MB rom hacks just fine, this is however not the problem here, as explained, this is a bug in some version of the hack that cause the game to crash, not the emulator
