Won't play gen games

Every time I attempt to play genesis plus gx usually it would load up like showing a loading bar and I use it from the home brew channel but now the loading bar shows up really fast doesn't show anything loading and just starts right up then when I go into the roms menu and try to play any game under genesis plus gx the screen goes black but when I push the home button the emulator menu shows up and I can see what would be the start screen for the game I was attempting to play the version I am using is version 1.6.0 please if you can help any way with steps to update emulator it would be highly appreciated I'm not sure what I need to do right now

Seems like you changed video settings and are now using a video mode which is incompatible with your TV. You can either try to delete the config.ini file in genplus directory on your sd card or change the "render mode" option under emulator video settings to interlaced or progressive.

1.6.0 is quite outdated and is missing a lot of added features and compatibility fixes, you can get the latest version (1.7.5) from here https://bitbucket.org/eke/genesis-plus-gx/downloads. Just replace boot.dol in your apps/genplus directory with the one in the downloaded .7z file

Awesome thank you I'll give it a try and download that new version so just download it and replace that file with the new download
