Eke, There is a proposal to license PicoDrive under GPL2+ or MAME + GPL2.

    No, my code is published for non-commercial use only on purpose: some people are indeed abusing GPL to make profits of open-source emulator code without contributing anything back to the project or its original authors while I think it should at least benefit to people who actually wrote the code, not only the ones that are re-packaging it in a marketed "product". As a developer, I personally do not see any benefits in licensing this code under GPL.
