DLL fails to load

Hi there,

I have Retroarch 1.7.9 on a Windows 10 PC. I've been trying to update the core on it to 1.7.5 but am having some issues. I tried downloading the .dll file from the repository here ( builds directory ) and placed it in the /downloads folder of retroarch. I assume that the .dll is the lastest version of the core for libretro. I was able to successfully install it but when I attempt to load it , it shows this in the logs:

[ERROR] Failed to open libretro core: "C:\Users\kryst\AppData\Roaming\RetroArch\cores\genesis_plus_gx_libretro.dll"
[ERROR] Error(s): %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

Any ideas on this ?

The core available in this repository is built with minGW 32-bit so it can only be loaded with Retroarch 32-bit version so your issue could be that you are using 64-bit version of Retroarch.

I quickly tried with latest Retroarch version downloaded from here: https://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.8.5/windows/x86/RetroArch.7z and have no issue loading the core and games.
