Tried different things to load an SDF into Drake. By the end of this morning I got:
- We are blind (I mean no docs)
- Ground planes could be a problem when parsing them through build/install/bin/rigidBodyLCMNode* --> From the console output. No visualization got.
- SDF files must be named with the suffix ".sdf" to be parsed.
- To compile drake, you should follow http://drake.mit.edu/from_source.html. In an Ubuntu 14.04, install gcc 4.9 and clang 3.9.
- Install Bazel but not try to compile everything with it. Just use cmake for the general compilation. --> https://github.com/RobotLocomotion/drake/tree/master/drake/automotive & http://drake.mit.edu/bazel.html
Right now I could load the demo of the Toyota Prius like the samples

From Drake's repository code review, I guess the only way we can load SDF files is by code. Here are some links to code where this is done:

Done a short tutorial on how to install Drake, made some new tests on how to load a SDF file and OBJ file.
