Self Signed certificate problems

Hi!

i'm getting the following errors trying to download wallpapers:

[13:36:44] SwingWorker-pool-1-thread-2 ERROR ProviderException:36 - Error during Provider operation. Error: There was a problem downloading a wallpaper. Complete URL -> https://www.wallpaperfusion.com/Ajax/BuildFeaturedImagesHTML/. Message:

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed:

sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Any help with it?

    Thank you very much for reporting the problem. Could you give me your exact configuration? (keywords, download policy, providers…)

    Is this issue only related to WallpaperFusion or does it apply to another one?

    The problem happens with all other providers. Maybe this could be solved with a way to ignore certificates…

    Thank you very much for the information. I need something else to test it in a similar environment (I use Arch so i have the application installed via AUR and it works fine):

    • What is the distro you have?
    • And what version?
    • Seeing the logs I can assume you installed WallpaperDownloader via snap package, right?

    Hi Ramon,

    I’ve installed Ubuntu proper 18.04.3 on VirtualBox and WallpaperDownloader from the store and it downloads wallpapers without any problem. I have another PC with Ubuntu 19.10 and it works too. I cannot reproduce the error.

    Are you behind a proxy or a firewall that maybe can forbid the access to some URLs?
