Hi @Danilo Alculete and thanks for your reporting.

Actually, this option is already implemented. WallpaperDownloader can be minimized without any problem in all the Desktop Environments except from GNOME and derivatives. Plasma 5, Unity, MATE and XFCE should work out of the box.

As you can see in the HELP tab within WallpaperDownloader, GNOME Shell has disabled tray icons, so if you want the icon back in the systemtray you can install TopIcons Plus
