Deduplicate common Linux files
Issue #78
new
There’s currently a bit of duplication regarding files commonly used on Linux:
wallpaperdownloader.desktop:
$ find -type f -name '*.desktop'
./aur/wallpaperdownloader.desktop
./src/main/resources/desktop/snap.wallpaperdownloader.desktop
./src/main/resources/desktop/wallpaperdownloader.desktop
./snap/snap/gui/wallpaperdownloader.desktop
./deb/wallpaperdownloader.desktop
wallpaperdownloader.svg:
$ find -type f -name '*.svg'
./aur/wallpaperdownloader.svg
./src/main/resources/images/desktop/wallpaperdownloader.svg
./snap/snap/gui/wallpaperdownloader.svg
./deb/wallpaperdownloader.svg
wallpaperdownloader.sh:
./aur/wallpaperdownloader.sh
./snap/scripts/bin/wallpaperdownloader.sh
./deb/wallpaperdownloader
Perhaps it’d be a good thing to have them only once, and in a single place.
I understand some files might require tweaking before they can be installed (e.g. the script launcher), but hopefully it shouldn’t be too hard to do…
