Regular Public Data uploads not occuring?

Issue #351 resolved
Former user created an issue

Hi, It appears as if the daily uploads from public databases have stopped. I often assess UKHSA data on Enterobase especially with rare serovars to assess clusters via cgMLST but isolates that were submitted weeks ago into NCBI are still not in Enterobase? Is there a a reason for this? An update would be appreciate BW Marie Chattaway Pathogen Lead for Salmonella, UKHSA

We have had a number of problems with uploading data from NCBI in recent months. We have had periods of up to two weeks where new strains do not appear in search results, either when using the NCBI gui and the APIs which enterobase uses. We have been exchanging Emails with NCBI support support about this and they are aware of this, but it they have not made it clear to us what the underlying problem is, or what they do to fix it. We also have problems where strains appear in teh search results, but the reads cannot be uploaded, and again we have been in communication with NCBI about this. We have been making adjustments to try and ensure that when this happens Enterobase will eventually upload the strains, rather than simply give up. At the moment all seems to be OK and we will continue to monitor the problem, so I will mark the issue resolved.
