COM Port: Disconnection of a COM port device are permanent in Sync

For some reason, if let say you do the following test

1. Run Sync over the Serial communication
2. Disconnect the Serial cable from the PC
3. Reconnect the Serial cable to the PC
4. Sync will never be able to reconnect to the Clock, unless its restarted.

this behaviour does not happens on the network connection.
