Is mecab-ko-dic-2.1.0-20180716 compatible with mecab-ko-0.996?

I am currently using mecab-ko-dic v0.9.2 with mecab-ko-0.996.

If I updated to mecab-ko-dic-2.1.0-20180716, would it still be compatible with mecab-ko-0.996? Are there any problems to be aware of?
