fonts not displaying correctly on Ubuntu 18.04 running FL in X11 to a Windows 10 client
I installed FL on a Ubuntu 18.04 server and installed xorg. Plot windows etc look fine but if I try to use a GUI routine, e.g. dialog_pickfile or the fl64_gui which display fine on my Windows 10 machine I get unreadable squares as letters.
Attached is how the fl64_gui and dialog_pickfile look like
Any help in this would be appreciated. I have seen that Ubuntu 18.04 has problems displaying fonts for some applications.

repo owner Just a guess: have you installed all the X11 fonts, too? I had no problems with Win10 + Cygwin/X remote access.

Thank you so much for your timely feedback. Yes, you are right - by downloading the fonts for Xming which I use as a viewer on the PC I fixed the problem:
https://osdn.net/projects/sfnet_xming/downloads/Xming-fonts/7.7.0.10/Xming-fonts-7-7-0-10-setup.exe/
I had assumed that fonts were missing on the Ubuntu 18.04 side but that did not fix the problem when I installed a couple font packages. Now I can run FL on a AWS machine!
