Plugin incompatible with Keepass 2.43

Issue #18 new
Former user created an issue

When adding the plugin to Keepass 2.43 I get an error-message stating the plugin is incompatible with that version.

Will there be a new version available?

Having similar issue on Keepass “Portable” 2.43 version:

Running on Windows 7 x64, .Net Framework 4.8.

Unclear if Initial poster was running full or portable version.

Confirmed, plugin works on KeePass full installer version, fails on KeePass portable version.

Frédéric Bourqui, can you look into supporting portable Keepass version with your plugin?

After some additional troubleshooting, it seems that this issue arises if you rename the Keepass executable in the portable version of Keepass.

e.g Keepass.exe rename to Keepassprotable.exe. This particular plugin will not work, not sure why (as other plugins have no issue with this).

I had been experiencing the same issue, I am using portable. After reading Issue #19 I removed KeeAgent from my plugins at it worked fine again. Unfortunately there does seem to be conflict. This is one of the few flaws I have with KeePass, the lack of native key-bind selection. Hopefully this can either be resolved by an update or modifying the source to simply change the bind then recomiling into a plgx

Can you try, whether version 1.0.4 works.
1.0.7 is stated to be incompatible, while version 1.0.4 works for me.

    Thanks for your feedback.

Finally I got it to work.
You need to run Keepass with admin-priviledges one time.
This enables the plugin compiled without any errors.
Once that has been done, it even works without running Keepass with admin rights.
