Change Issue Type during a transition?

1. Can the issuetype be changed during a transition?
2. If so, would I accomplish it similarly to this: https://bitbucket.org/fcarmario/jira-workflow-toolbox/issue/136/transition-sub-tasks-status-when-parent-is – copying a ephemeral field value in to the issuetype field?
3. Implications of this change if the fields in use (or screens) on each issuetype are different? (Not currently the case but may happen in the near future)

Hi Will,

At this moment the plugin doesn't provide that feature. "Issue type" is not writable.

I will study how to implement such a feature in the future.
