Disable Option on Select Field

Is there any chance the ability to disable a Select Field option could be included either as a standalone Post Function or as an option to the existing Add a new option to a Select List. We're currently using JIRA 7.2.4

The functionality has been implemented in version 2.2.26_beta_3 as improvements to post-functions "Add a new option to a Select List, Radio Button, Multi-Select List or Checkbox" and "Add a new option to a Cascading Select".

These 2 post-functions have been renamed to "Add or Disable option in Select List, Radio Button, Multi-Select List or Checkbox" and "Add or Disable option in Cascading Select".
