JIRA WORKFLOW TOOLBOX License Issue

Issue #52 resolved
Former user created an issue

Hi,

We recently renewed our Atlassian licenses and have noticed/realized that we do not have the "unlimited" license on our JIRA and at the same time this plug-in"JIRA WORKFLOW TOOLBOX" has stopped working. This license was also unlimited.

How do we fix?

Current JIRA license is 2000 User.

JIRA WORKFLOW TOOLBOX license is Unlimited.

    Hi,

You will need a JIRA Workflow Toolbox license that matches exactly your JIRA license, so this is very important that you upgrade to the new license.

Once you are without a valid license the plugin will only work on odd days (like today, 31th), (this is intended for evaluation purposes), while even days it won't work.

Meanwhile, I advise you to get a trial license at Atlassian Marketplace. Simply click on "Try it free". It will be valid for a month and you will be able to renew it. Please, contact me if you have any problem to get the trial license.

I will forward your problem to Atlassian's sales department, in the past (issue #28) they solved the problem converting the older license type of JIRA Workflow Toolbox to the new tier (2000 users) without any cost.

    I will keep you informed.

    Regards,

    Fidel

    Hi Fidel,

Thank for the clarification, I have updated our Workflow Toolbox plugin with trial license. Do let me know if I should call them.

    Hi Lean,

I sent an email to sales@atlassian.com on 31th May, and still no response. I think that it would be wise that you also try to contact Atlassian to ask for a license upgrade. I will keep you informed as soon as I get a response.

    Regards,

    Fidel

    Hi Lian,

This is the answer I received fro Atlassian:

Please be advised that the JIRA 100+ (Unlimited) User license was retired on 22-Feb-2012. Existing customers with this legacy license are eligible for grandfathering for up to two (2) additional years. After the JIRA grandfathering period ends, legacy license holders have the option to renew their "Unlimited" license as one of the new user-tiers.

All JIRA 100+ (Unlimited) licenses expiring on or before 22-Feb-2014 are eligible for one last one-year renewal at their current renewal pricing. After the grandfathering period ends, renewal quotes for legacy licenses will automatically be generated for the 10,000+ User license (including Atlassian Enterprise, unless you indicate a need for less users.

Please remember all JIRA add-ons must match the JIRA user-tier in order to continue to function. If you are requesting a renewal quote or generating one via our website, please be sure to include all of the add-ons at the same user-tier as the parent product (JIRA).

If you received an auto-quote from Atlassian, please review the quote for accuracy to ensure

    • the quote includes all of your JIRA add-ons
    • the tiers match up

    Hope this helps.

I think that you'd better ask for a renewal quote for your plugins with the new license tier.

Please, close this issue when you have solved the problem.
