creating additional sub-tasks manually

I have logic built to create subtasks at the time of create, however, when I go into the task itself and try to manually create additional subtasks, the option for me to do so is not present. I've verified permissions and I appear to have create issues.

There isn't specific permissions for subtask creation in JIRA. If you have permission for issue creation you should be create subtasks.

A possible cause is that you are creating sub-tasks into an issue type that is also a sub-task. Please, check it up.

JIRA Workflow Toolbox can't disable the option for creating sub-tasks manually. The fact that you don't see the option has nothing to do with the logic for creating issues automatically.

You can remove the "Create issues and subtasks" post-function, and check up whether the option for creating sub-tasks reappear. It shouldn't.

Please, try creating a normal issue in the project. If you can do it, you should be able to create sub-tasks.

In you keep having problems I recommend you to ask for support to Atlassian.

there was a property key in place causing issues so I removed that and I'm able to create sub-tasks.
