Validate Issue Creation based on Group

Is there a way to use JWT to create a validator on the Create Issue transition. I would like to limit only certain groups to creating specific custom issues.

I know there is the option of limiting validation to specific permissions, but this is not feasible, since I need more flexibility that what is available.

Hi @NCATS_Lab,

You can use "Boolean validation with math, date-time or text-string terms" with a boolean expresion like this one:

%{00014} in ["Story", "Bug", "New Feature"] IMPLIES (isInGroup(%{00020}, "group_name") OR isInRole(%{00020}, "role_name"))

Where %{00014} is field code for Issue type, and %{00020} is field code for Current user.
