How automatically set component depending on the chosen custom field

Do anyone knows is there possibility to component automatically be set to one value depending on chosen custom field in jira?

Is there some written custom scripts?

You can use "Set a field as a function of other fields" post-function selecting Components as target field.

The exact configuration depends on the kind of dependency. If you give me more details I can give you the exact configuration you need.
