Compatibility between JIRA and Workflow Toolbox versions

We need to upgrade our JIRA Data Center instance from JIRA Software 7.2 to 7.4.3. Is the JIRA Workflow Toolbox add-on version 2.2.27 compatible with JIRA 7.4.3? We do plan to renew our annual licence in January 2018 at which point we can upgrade to the latest version.

I currently can't run automatically regression tests for version 2.2.27 over JIRA 7.4.3, in order to guarantee that it's fully compatible, but after examining the release notes for JIRA 7.3 and 7.4, I don't think you will have a problem with those versions of JIRA.

I don't know why you don't install the most recent version of JWT, but I recommend you to do it if you can. If you are renewing the license, you don't save any money by delaying the renewal, since the period of time of the renewal begins since the end of your last support period.

Thank you for your reply and reviewing the release notes. To clarify, we are working with a vendor to co-term our existing add-on licenses. We were told that they (vendor) were not able to do a shortened co-term to January 2018 and that new licenses automatically come with 12 months of maintenance. For this reason, we decided to forgo maintenance until January 2018 but are concerned if JWT v. 2.2.27 features are incompatible with JIRA 7.4.

All the license purchases and renewals are done through Atlassian's Marketplace. I can't do any offer about special time periods, but you can contact Atlassian or a local Atlassian Expert, and they will do it without any problem.

What you are asking for is a very common request, and I think they do it on a regular basis.
