Problem with JIRA Workflow Toolbox - sending custom mail

Issue #937 resolved
Katarina Nikolic created an issue

We are using JIRA Workflow Toolbox and I have question regarding sending custom mail.

In fact, I want to sent mail to custom mail address in case when Component is one value.

For that, I have chosen "Send an email Function for this transition" and for some reason e-mails do not arrive. JIRA Workflow Toolbox.JPG Please look at the screenshot, maybe I made some mistake... screencapture-jira-uniqainternational-secure-admin-workflows-EditWorkflowTransitionPostFunctionParams-default-jspa-1513594579947 (1).png

    Hi @katkanikolic,

Can you, please, attach a screenshot with your whole post-function's tab? I want to see all the post-functions you are executing in the transition, and their execution order.

You are running a quite old version of JWT. Is it possible that you update to the most recent version? Maybe that will fix your problem.

Yes, I can. Please find the requested screenshot.

    Hi @katkanikolic,

Post-function "Creates the issue originally" should always be in first position in execution order. Please, try moving it to first position, and let me know whether it solves the problem.

    Hi @katkanikolic,

Keep your "Creates the issue originally" in first position in execution order.

Remove the boolean expression at parameter Conditional execution so that the post-function is executed unconditionally. Maybe, the problem is that the boolean expression doesn't have the behavior you expect, and is preventing the post-function from being executed.

    Hi @fcarmario ,

It was problem with the order of post functions. I've posted first "Creates the issue originally", the second one for posting components regarding one custom field and the third for the sending custom mail (condition is related with previous function with component).

After all these changes, E-mail has arrived successfully.

Thank you very much for your support!

    KR, Katarina
