Copying attachments and links from parent to subtasks?

I am developing a solution for a team that will have attachments stored in Confluence, with links to a jira issue. In this solution, I also create subtasks on some transitions in the workflow.

I'd like for any links and attachments stored on the parent jira issue to be copied down to the subtasks being created, so that when someone receives a workflow for a subtask, the information from the primary issue (parent) is available.

Is there a way to do this?

Hi @pgprodadmin,

You can copy the attachments of current issue (i.e., parent issue) into virtual field "Attachments (only new attachments will be added)". For copying the issue links, you should do it issue link type by issue link type. I show you how to do it in the following screenshot:

Thank you. What is meant by "only new attachments will be added"? What post-function is this?

Hi @pgprodadmin,

Post-function is "Create issues and subtasks" which allows you to create sub-tasks automatically in transitions of parent's workflow.

If you are using another add-on to create sub-tasks, I encourage you to try "Create issues and subtasks", which is available with JWT.
