Kotone's Schemes Crash, game trying to open the splash mid game?

The game crashed after the last fight in the third round in the Kotone's Schemes mission. This is the error report I got... why would it try to open the splash image? And this line seems important: AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'validattacks'
