Thank you for playing Story of a Lost Sky.

We're pleased to announce the latest release of Story of a Lost Sky: version 0.9.0.

Three major improvements are present in this version:

- A completely overhauled user interface covering most every menu in the game.
- A completely new world map interface thanks to new art from almondette
- Evasion, spell relationships, and terrain defense have been simplified. Each character has now a Talent, and any
spells of that type will receive a hit-rate bonus. For spell relationships, only damage and critical hit rate are affected.
- Keyk has contributed many new enemy sprites and portraits including Firefly and Wind Weasel.

Source code notes:
If you use the source code release, you'll need Python 2.5.4, Pygame 1.9.1 for the installed version of Python.

Windows Release: Under "Story of a Lost Sky" folder, run srpg.exe
OSX / Linux (Source code release): With Python and Pygame installed, run srpg.py

Controls:

Global
- ALT+F4 = Exit Program

World Map Controls
- Arrow Keys = Move
- Z = Select
- X = Cancel / Return to top level World Map
- A = Load World Map Menu

Battle Map Controls
- Arrow Keys = Move
- Z/Enter = Select
- X = Cancel
- Q/W = Select Next/Previous Enemy
- A/S = Select Next/Previous Ally
- C = (On map screen) Toggles unit movement range viewing on and off
- C = (Under unit stats screen) Jump to selected unit
- C = (When speech is displayed) Skip through speech

Q1. What are the major changes in the latest version?
* Complete UI overhaul
* New world map
* Reworked spell relations, and added a talents system for spell types each unit is good at.
* New sprites and portraits for some of the enemies

Q2. What are some new features that are planned?
* New missions: Chapter 4 and Chapter 3 side missions
* New portraits
* Ability to start the game at the start of any chapter.
* Reworked game tutorial

Q3 - When is the final release date?
We are shooting for finishing the main story this year.

Q4 - Are old save files compatible with this release?
Yes, with a few caveats: Save state data is preserved, though the player's current position on the world map is reset to the Netherworld.
If any traits are present that have been tweaked, they will be updated to the latest version.

Q5 - I have a bug report or suggestion for improvement. How do I report it?

Please include any information about what you were doing as well as any errors. If you are using the Windows version,
a crash should leave an error message in srpg.exe.log.

Q6 - Note for users on Fedora Linux. There is an issue with Pygame and Linux Audio where an "Unrecognized Music Format" error may be encountered. Please see:
