color bar not properly displayed

Many times, I find that the color bar in the plot() window is not rendered properly.

This is with VTK 5.8.0 on Ubuntu 14.04.

Same problem on Mac OS X 10.9.4 with VTK 6.1.

Seems to be vtk6 related.

I saw this on ubuntu 14.10 in a build with vtk6, reverted to vtk5 and it works fine.

Developers put their effort into matplotlib plotting. The fix would need to come from the community.
