"make: /usr/bin/sh: Command not found" in fresh Ubuntu 14.04

I am trying to compile dolfin 1.5.0 in a freshly installed Ubuntu 14.04 with git and build-essential and I am getting this error coming from line 146 of FindPETSc.cmake:

make: /usr/bin/sh: Command not found

Naturally sh is present in /bin/sh, so making a soft link fixes the issue.
