Preserve timestamps

Hello,

I am using Fenics happily, but I've noticed that ffc does not preserve file timestamps. This makes it hard to use it in a Makefile.

Can this be avoided?

[I think you better avoid saying "Hello" and "you're happy with Fenics [sic]", etc. It's a boiler plate.]

Could you post a MWE demonstrating the behaviour and tell us what would be expected?

Hello Jan, I'm closing the issue, as this is not a tool's task as I've learned, it's Make's job to assign timestamps in order to recompile only changed files.
