Must reset Arduino to display custom Characters

Issue #12 invalid
Former user created an issue

Using v 1.2.0 , when turning on Arduino LCD displays blocks where custom characters should be. Must use reset button on Arduino to properly display custom characters.

Using this code for custom characters: uint8_t custom_hex1[8] = {0x08,0x14,0x08,0x07,0x04,0x07,0x04,0x04}; In setup: lcd.createChar(1, custom_hex1); In loop: lcd.write(1);

Is there a solution/workaround?

    Never mind this issue, Sorry.

    I added lcd.begin BEFORE lcd.createChar like you suggested in issue#8. All is fine know.

    Thanks for this awsome LiquidCrystal library :)
