Sublet re-writes and creates movie with ZERO data
I have been having issues with Subler. I go to update an existing movie and the movie is overwritten with the new meta data, Subler crashes and the movie has Obytes and no data. Why is this happening?

repo owner Can describe exactly what you were doing when it happened? Or do you have a small sample I can use to reproduce the issue?

I imported the file into subler. Updated the metadata and went to "SAVE". Sublet said it was going to "Overwrite File" and I clicked "OKAY". Subler crashed and file has no data and now shows 0 bytes. This has been happening quite a bit.

repo owner If you overwrite the file you are reading from, it 's not going to end well…

Thats what I have always done in the past. It has always worked until now. What do you suggest? Save As and change to mp4 instead of m4v?

repo owner Probably in the past you were opening the file in Subler, instead of importing it in a new document and overwriting it. Opening and save works ok. But overwriting your source file does not.

I haven't changed anything I was doing - I don't believe. What do you mean "opening the file in Subler"? Importing or opening in subler, aren't they the same thing?

I think I got it. Don't import from iTunes. Open file from hard drive instead. I did a test and it seemed to work.

doesn't work - tried it and it says will overwrite file.

This is really frustrating. Cant figure out why its not working. Should I delete subler and reinstall?
-
repo owner Well, send me a sample file so I'll try to see what's wrong with it.

Who knows. What app did you use to create the mp4 in the first place?
